Our mission here at Bright Stars Educare is to provide a service which is inclusive and appreciative to all children, families, staff and the community.

We will provide a warm and stimulating environment that will foster children’s growth in a fun and holistic way. It is important that children enjoy attending Bright Stars Educare, feel safe and regard this centre as a home away from home valuing the principle Whakawhanaungatanga.

Through our programme children will learn life skills, values and gain confidence in themselves through lots of fun and positive child and teacher initiated activities that links to Te Whäriki, the Treaty of Waitangi and other current legislation.

We strive to establish and maintain meaningful relationships – Nga hononga with children and their families and ensure that all parents & whanau are actively involved in their child’s learning by becoming involved with the centre’s programme planning.

Staff will respect all children and whanau and in return be respected – Manaakitanga. Staff will be given further opportunities to enhance and develop professional knowledge as this will enable staff to be innovative, empowering and caring educators.

Wider links will be affirmed as strong ties with surrounding services and the community will be established. Children at Bright Stars Educare will be given many excursion opportunities to learn about the world around them, mana Aoturoa.
